Wire Rope Pulling Hoist

Wire rope winch are composed of an aluminum bosy that houses a pair of jaws which are connected to levers that pull and safely release a load. They have a breaking load of four times working load limit, and equiped with the double locking load pin.

To correctly operate a wire rope winch, first , 1)ensure that the forward, reverse, and cable release levers are positioned to the rear of the winch. 2)Grabbing both the release and reverse levers in one hand, push the levers both forwards and down until the release lever correctly locks itself into place at the top of the winch body. 3)Insert the tapered end of the wire rope into the jaw opening oppsite of the load pin, and feed it through until it protrudes from the other side. Take up any slack in the cable, by pulling it through by hand.

Now push the release lever down, so that the jaws will properly close around the cable.

Attach the double locking load pin to your stationary attachment point. To pull on the wire rope, slide, rotate, and lock the handle onto the lever nearest to the load pin, and ratchet the lever forward and backward.

To release the load pin in a controlled manner, repeat the process on the lever farthest from the load pin. To release the cable, repeat the same procedure that was used to open the winch jaws, and pull the cable from the winch.

During operation, it is important to keep the cable free from excessive grease or debris to prevent the internal jaws from fouling. Also note that any properly sized steel cord, wire rope or cable can be used, but cable with fused and tapered ends are much easier to feed through the jaws.

 We carry four different sized models: 0.8T/1.6T/3.2T/5.4T, each models has corresponding 20mtrs long fused and tapered cable with a machine swaged thimble eye and drop forged hook at the end. The cable come wrapped on a handy carrier spool to keep them neat when packed away.
